Hello Familes! 
 
As the busy month of December approaches, The ULAS just wanted to let you know what we're up to...
 
Costuming:
-everything has been handed out (thank-you for bringing your cheques)
-PLEASE try the costume on at home and be willing to so small repairs or cleaning. These are shared costumes and we do our very best to get a good fit, but they may need minor alterations. The ULAS does not require families to purchase their own costumes every year and we hope to keep it that way with your cooperation.
- We have secured a 10% discount at "On Stage" for the year. I need to print a letter on ULAS letterhead that you will need to bring to the store. I will try get that done ASAP.
 
Girls - 2 french braids (tucked in and secured at the back), hairnet, bobby pins to secure headpiece, make-up (whatever you are comfortable with), clear hockey tape and safety pins to secure costume pieces.
 
1. Kvytky - White socks with lace ruffle, red slippers
2. Vesna - White socks with lace ruffle, red slippers
3. Sontse - Mondor tights Caramel colour, red slippers
4. Kalyna - Mondor tights Caramel colour, black Paris teaching shoes
5. Viter - Mondor tights Caramel colour, black Paris teaching shoes
6. Kupalo - Mondor tights Caramel colour, black Paris teaching shoes  
 
Boys - black socks, black slippers, clear hockey tape and safety pins to secure costume pieces. 
 
Performances:
Dec. 1 - St. Basil's Sadochok Concert  - Vesna 12:30pm
Jan. 11 - Balwin Malanka - Sontse, Kalyna, Viter, and Zirka are scheduled to perform
Jan. 19 - Winter Concert - all groups
 
- We hoping to organize a performance at a local senior's residence. Possible in January, more details to be announced. 
- Teacher Trish is just receiving all of the competition information. At this point, we are hoping for 2 competitions, one in March and one in April. Daytrips are preferred. If you have any thoughts on this, please email me. 
- UFest was a giant success last year. I need to write up our proposal soon, but we are hoping to be chosen for this event again. 
 
Fundraisers:
- We will be doing several events this year to raise money for ULAS costuming, instructor salaries, and general operations. 
- Cabbage Roll and Perogy fundraiser started today. Please return your form next week to ensure delivery in time for Christmas. We are excited to offer a unique and delicious product that will complement your Christmas Dinners. 
- Also this year, we are considering: a $5 entry fee for adults for the Winter Concert, Bottle Drive, Silent Auction and 50/50 at the Year-End Dinner Theatre. If you have any input or are willing to help, please email me.
